How to save on medical costs

December 31, 2011

2011 is coming to a close, and the new year is upon us.  With the start of the new year comes the realization that, for those of us with catastrophic medical insurance policies, our deductible period starts all over again.  These policies have out of pocket costs of up to $7,000 before the insurance company starts paying for any medical charges.  While the savings for the self-insured can be substantial in the form of lower monthly premiums, the cost of sudden and unexpected medical expenses can be significant, especially if it involves a visit to or a stay in the hospital.

Our office was set up in 2004 to help both those without medical insurance as well as individuals and families who have these high deductible plans.  Our charges are 10-50% less than most other family practice and urgent care centers in the area, and our services are always provided by a board-certified physician.  Many other facilities utilize lesser trained mid-level providers such as physician assistants and nurse practitioners.  You will consistently see only one provider, and patients are seen promptly, without long wait times and generally the same day.  We believe that we are part of the solution at keeping medical costs reasonable, yet at the same time providing excellent medical care for our patients.

Why not commit to lowering your out-of-pocket medical expenses in the new year?  Visit our about page or go to www.facebook.com/SamuelFamilyPractice and find out more about how our medical practice can help you and your family.  Happy New Year!…..Richard R Samuel, MD     Family Practice and Urgent Care   Hayden, ID  USA
