Ingrown toenails are a common problem. The risk of this painful condition increases in people who wear tight fitting shoes, trim their nails too closely (especially along the sides) and/or pick their nails, creating hangnails. This video shows removal of an ingrown nail, a procedure we frequently do at our office. Local anesthesia is used prior to the procedure, making treatment painless.
