Shoulder injection with cortisone and a numbing agent are commonly performed in our office to treat shoulder pain, usually with good success. Tendonitis and bursitis of the shoulder are the most common causes of pain and limited range of motion in this joint, and injection, as demonstrated in this brief video, is usually followed with in-office treatment by a physical therapist. Once the inflammation has subsided, the patient is then instructed on a home stretching and strengthening program which he or she should continue indefinitely, primarily to decrease the chance of recurrence…..Richard R Samuel, MD Family Practice and Urgent Care Hayden, ID USA
